Nellie B. (Wills) Cooper, 90, formerly of Lizton, died in Thornton, Colorado. Cremation was accorded with burial at the Cemetery at Idaho Springs, Colorado. Born August 12, 1920, in Hendricks County, she was the daughter of Orval S. and Deana U. (Bailey) Wills. She graduated from Lizton High School in 1939. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin James Cooper (age 78, d. 4-18-1997). They were married in Hattiesburg, La., where he was stationed in the U. S. Army; her two sons, Harvey Charles (Hal) Cooper (d. 3-13-1966) and Richard Gary Cooper (d. 8-18-2007); and brother, James Edwin Wills, U.S. Army, killed in Germany in 1944 during World War II, also preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son Donald James (DJ) Cooper of Brownsburg, and a daughter, Patricia Ann (Cooper) Danelek of Thornton, Colo.; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; a sister, Lavinia A. Roark, and cousin Narcissa Hocker.

Nellie B. Cooper, born in Lizton, Ind., in 1920, died at the age of 90 on May 28, 2011. Nellie lived in Idaho Springs for 30 years where she was often seen waiting on tables and spending time with family. She later retired from a 50-year waitressing career to Grand Junction where her husband passed away in 1997 after 57 years of marriage. Nellie was a trusted friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by two children, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
