Dorothy Ruth Conger Greenwell, 81 of Evansville, IN, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011 at Deaconess Hospital.

Dorothy was born on August 9, 1929 in Indianapolis, IN to the late, Frank Craig and Dorothy (Richardson) Scott. Dorothy worked at the Bud Miller Cafe, the coffee shop and gift shop at the Evansville Dress Regional Airport and T.J. Maxx. She attended Oak Hill Baptist Church. Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo, crossword puzzles, traveling and she loved roses. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, neighbors and her friends at SWIRCA. Dorothy was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and a country music fan.

Dorothy is survived by: Daughters, Brenda Schlichter (Jim), High Ridge, MO, and Kathy Hampton (Jimmy), Newburgh, IN, sons, Kenny Conger, Evansville, IN, Steve Conger, Edgewater, FL, and Bill Conger (Connie), Evansville, IN, step son, John Greenwell (Karen), MN, sister, Annie Mae Mears (Bill), Indianapolis, IN, grandchildren, Angie Tanner (David), Tim Schlichter (Jamie), Kimberly Fields (Kenny), Kris Conger, Kara Conger (fiance, Scott Carden), Lori Conger, Kevin Conger (fiance, Mary Smith), Adam Conger, Kelly Conger, Krystal Hampton and Ashley Hampton, 10 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Greenwell in 1999, son, Richard Ray Conger, brothers, Ernie, Harvey, Lloyd and Edward Craig, daughter-in-law, Karen Conger and great granddaugther, Olivia Paige Conger.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue with Pastor Alan Scott officiating. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 3-9 P.M. on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Browning Funeral Home.
