She was born July 9, 1927, in Hutchinson to Willard Sutton and Helen White Bell.
On May 29, 1944, she married Charles R. Haynes in Pocahontas, Ark. He died Sept. 24, 1997. Christine owned Jayhawk Ceramics and worked at Wiley's for many years. Survivors include: a son, Donald R. and wife Marsha; daughter, Reverend Judy Williams and husband Wesley Williams Jr.; brother, Charlie Bell and wife Linda, all of Hutchinson; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Tim and Dennis Haynes.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2011, at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Darrell Bisel officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County in care of the mortuary.
