Mrs. Dora Leona Bray, 79, a longtime resident of Idaho Falls and vicinity, died at an Idaho Falls hospital at noon Thursday following a sudden illness.

She was born March 12, 1887, at Nebo, Ill., the daughter of James Marion and Minerva Esabelle Draper Caudle.

She grew up and attended school in that area. She married George Edward Bray, 09 Feb 1906, at Pleasant Hill, Pike County, Illinois. They lived there until March 1911 when they moved to St. Anthony.

In 1912, they homesteaded a dry farm 10 miles west of Idaho Falls. In 1916, they moved to a farm in the York area and lived there and at Goshen until 1922, when they moved into Idaho Falls.

She was a member of the First Christian Church. Her husband died Jan. 18, 1953. An infant daughter also preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons, Leonard Bray, Idaho Falls; Leo Bray, Pocatello; Leon Bray, Phoenix, Ariz., and one daughter, Mrs. John (Leona) Oar, Idaho Falls; a granddaughter, Mrs. Roger (Dora Jean) Shoemaker, Vallejo Calif., whom she raised from infancy; two sisters, Mrs. Stanley (Mable) Whitney, Vancouver, British Columbia; Mrs. L. H. (Fae) Vance, Long Beach Calif., also 17 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
