She divorced Charles Lewis, who remained in Somerset, Kentucky, working as a monument dealer, and returned to Michigan with her children, residing in 1900, with her son, with her employers in Raisin Township, Joseph H. and Marian Billmeyer, working for them as a servant. Hattie later married Myron Billmeyer, marrying in Tecumseh, Michigan on April 4, 1903.
Widowed in 1912, Hattie remarried, marrying Jewett Whelan, his second wife, marrying in Tecumseh on January 20, 1914. Hattie and Jewett divorced in 1927 and Hattie married a fourth time, marrying Charles Kemp in Tecumseh on June 22, 1936. She passed away at home, at 115 S. Maumee Street, in Tecumseh.
