Marion Joyce Sharp, a native-born San Pedran, of 914 S. Alma St., San Pedro, died Tuesday, December 31, 1968, at the Harbor City home of her parents following a bout with the flu which apparently developed into pneumonia. Mrs. Sharp, a Spring 1943 graduate of San Pedro High School, was born at San Pedro Community Hospital on December 2, 1925. She was founder of the San Pedro Boys'Club Auxiliary and a past president of the San Pedro High School PTA (Parent Teacher Association). Mrs. Sharp, widow of Preston L. Sharp, was secretary of the San Pedro Elks Lodge 966 for thepast four years and also was on the lodge's bowling team. She was survived by her son, Gregory, and a daughter-in-law, Pamela, of San Pedro and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert R. Getty of Harbor City. Funeral services for Mrs. Sharp were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Januray 3, 1968, at McNerney's Mortuary Chapel, followed by burial at Green Hills Memorial Park.
