Barbara Schole passed away March 29, 2009 in San Pedro. She was born August 19, 1926 in Long Beach and was a lifetime resident of San Pedro. Barbara had been a member of the Fire Belles. Her husband, Howard; her daughter, Lisa Canetti and her brother, George Weingarten, preceded her in death. She was survived by her daughters, Stephanie Potter and Andrea (Tom) Smith; sister, Anna (Rudy) Ibarra; son-in-law, Nick Canetti; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral service Monday, April 6, 2009, 11am at Green Hills Chapel followed by interment at Green Hills Memorial Park. Donations may be made in Barbara's name to the Widows, Orphans and Disabled Fireman's fund, 815 Colorado Blvd., Fourth Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90041 (An obituary was published in the Daily Breeze, Torrance, California, on Apr. 2, 2009.)
