Harvey Adams was a Republic of Texas resident, arriving in Texas in 1836. He was a prosperous Fayette County farmer, carpenter and builder, merchant, Judge and JP, and soldier. He participated in the Somervell Expedition in 1842 and was a member of Capt. Kellogg's Company during the Civil War. He died at his home in Fayette County and was buried in the Florida Chapel Cemetery.
