Guy Earl Barker, 92



— Guy Earl Barker, 92 of Waldron, Indiana passed away on December 13, 2006 at 6:53 p.m. at Major Hospital in Shelbyville.
He was born on December 23, 1913 in Dearborn County to Guy A. and Shirley Black Barker.
He was a lifetime farmer and retired in 2000. He was a 1931 graduate of St. Paul High School, a member of the former Pleasant Hill Church, was a Sunday School Teacher for several years. He was a 50 year member of the Waldron Masonic Lodge #217 and a member of the St. Paul Kiwanis Club. He was married to Mary Hoban on March 10, 1940.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Barker of Waldron; five sons, Robert Barker of Carmel, William Barker of Shelby County, Thomas Barker of Adams, Scott Barker of Shelbyville and John Barker of Holmes Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Beverly Caldwell of Indianapolis and Bonnie Stauch of California; 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy A. and Shirley Barker; three brothers and one sister.
Visitation services will be on Sunday, December 17 from 4 - 7 p.m. at Glenn E. George Funeral Home in St. Paul, Ind. with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be on Monday, December 18 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. L.J. Poe officiating. Burial will be in the Van Pelt Cemetery in Shelby County, Indiana.
