RUSH, ALEEN RAY, 86, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Episcopal Church Home.

Born in Wilmore, KS, she was a bookkeeper for Alderices and later was a hairstylist. Aleen was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church and N.A.R.F.E.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack L. Carthrae and Clifton Rush; brother, Loren and Lawrence Ray; sister, Elsie Lloyd; and grandson, Jeffrey Lewis Carthrae.

She is survived by her husband, George James; son, Clark Lewis Carthrae, M.D. (Peggy) of Bowling Green, KY; granddaughter, Carolyn Margaret Fulghum; and one great-grandson, Grayson Lewis Fulghum.

Her service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at Highlands.
