Veta Buchler Pepitone, a retired bookkeeper, died July 28 at her home. She was 84. Mrs. Pepitone was born in Wilson, Kansas, and lived in the New Orleans area for more than 50 years. She was a graduate of Wilson High School. Survivors include a son, Joseph T. Peitone of Metarie; a daughter Phyllis P. Jeandron of Metarie: four brothers, Orval Buchler of Morrowville, Kan. Glen Buchler of La Habra, California, Ted Buchler of Russell, Kansas and Dale Buchler of Wilson; two sisters Joyce Podlena of Wilson and Ulalla Drake of Kansas City, MO; and a granchild. A memorial service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Lake Lawn Metarie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchatrain Blvd. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m.
