SHAZER - Joseph M., 77, of Vanderbilt R.D. 1 died Wednesday, March 22, 1978 at 5:48 p.m. in Union town Hospital. Survivors include his widow, "Elvia Littlejohn Shazer; one son, Joseph D. Shazer of McKees Rocks; three daughters. Mrs. Charles (Thelma) Petrosky of Perryopolis, Mrs. Richard (Loreita) Lowther of Vanderbilt R. D 1. and Mrs. Ronald (Geraldine) Addrs of Vanderbilt. one stepson, Clinton Littlejohn of Russellville, Ark., one step. daughter. Mrs James (Lena Mae) Colbert of Hyaitsville, Md., 13 grandchildren. 21 great grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and one step great grandson. Also surviving are two brothers, Lawrence Shazer of Uniontown and Louis Shazer of Bowie. Md., and two sisters, Mrs Howard (Mane) Pierce of Centerville, and Mrs. Robert (Irene) Culien of Bowie, Md. He was preceded in death by his first wife Sarah Fuller Shazer a sister Frances Boyle; and two brothers, Albert Shazer and Leroy Shazer. Friends will be received in the Blair Lowther Funeral Home. Perryopolis, after 3pm. Thursday and until 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ in Vanderbilt R D 1 from 12 noon to 2 p.m., the time of service, Saturday. Rev Alvih Swanson, assisted by the Elders of the Branch, will officiate. Interment will be in Bowman Flatwoods Cemetery, Vanderbilt R D. 1. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Church of Jesus Christ, Vanderbilt R. D. 1. The Blair Lowther Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
