He was born in Manchester on July 16, 1920, son of the late Howard and Thera (Howe) Ellsworth. He retired from Millipore Corporation, Milford, MA in 1984. After retiring he moved to Venice, FL with his wife and enjoyed playing golf and then they returned in 2006 to Tolland.
Besides his wife Helen of 62 years, he is survived by his children, Anne Marie and Tim Paridiso of Venice, FL, Bill and Martha Ellsworth of Sante Fe, NM, Peg and Steve Leary of Tolland, Donald Ellsworth of Albuquerque, NM and Jack and Judy Ellsworth of Springfield, Ohio; seven grandchildren Tim Paridiso, Janeen (Paradiso) Jepson, Ben and Andrew Ellsworth and Michael, Ryan and Jonathan Leary; and six great grandchildren Lauren, Katelyn and Kevin Jepson, Audrie Ellsworth, Joclyn and Jameson Leary. He is also survived by his two brothers, Howard Ellsworth of NM, and Robert Ellsworth and a sister, Marion Scott both of Pomfret and many nieces and nephews. He is also predeceased by two brothers, Walter and Edward Ellsworth.
