CLARKSVILLE - Harvie Thomas Bishop, 86, of Clarksville died Wednesday, July 1, in Red River General Hospital.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 3, at the College Avenue Baptist Church with burial in Boxelder Cemetery by Jolley's Funeral Home. The Rev. Johnny King and the Rev. Johnny Caster will officiate.

Mr. Bishop was born March 12, 1906, in Texas, a son of James Thomas and Allie Peek Bishop. He married Lula Miller Aug. 22, 1935.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Leslie Ray Bishop of Clarksville, Kenneth Blain Bishop of Clarksville and James (Fuzz) Thomas Bishop of Clarksville; four daughters, Mary Juanita Beaty of Lamesa, Letha Jean Hawks of Hawkins, Mary Ellen Young of Hawkins, and Johnnie Alice Tyler of Austin; two sisters, Alice Kelly of California and Margaret Penny of Clarksville; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Allie Juanell Poole.
