PONTIAC - Rose E. Brown, 84, Pontiac, died at 3:54 p.m. Wednesday (December 14, 2005) at Livingston Manor, rural Pontiac.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the First Baptist Church, Pontiac, with the Rev. James O. Wolfe III officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Pontiac.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church. The family suggests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church. Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home, Pontiac, is handling the arrangements.

Rose was born October 14, 1921, at Russell County, Kentucky, a daughter of Robert and Genevieve Lapsley Coffey.

She married Richard Reiners on February 2, 1947, at Pontiac. He preceded her in death on October 7, 1965.

She later married Virgil Brown in June 1978 at Pontiac. He preceded her in death on May 13, 2004.

Survivors include three sons, David A. (Pat) Reiners, Waukesha, Wisconsin; Allen (Doris) Reiners, Odell; and Doug Reiners, Normal; one stepson, David A. Brown, Normal; one stepdaughter, Carol (Stan) Pieper, Groveland; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Rose was educated in Odell schools and was a graduate of Odell High School. She attended Moody Bible School in Chicago. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pontiac, where she taught Sunday school for several years. She also taught Sunday school at the Calvary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and had been a secretary at Star Erectors in Pontiac for several years.
