Clarksville
The Rev. James Austin of Hooks was dead on arrival at Wadley Hospital in Texarkana Friday.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the First Assembly of God Church in Hooks. Interment in Fairview Cemetery in Clarksville will be made by Jolley's Funeral Home.
Mr. Austin was born Dec. 15, 1919, in Clarksville, a son of Sam and Cora (Revile) Austin. He was a retired arsenal worker and a World War II veteran. He married Eula Eilers at Clarksville in 1946.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Jeanette Hefner of Hooks; one son, James Irvin Austin of Victoria; one sister, Mrs. Ida Walters of Bisbee, Ariz.; and these brothers, William Austin of Clarksville, Raymond Austin who lives in Virginia, Billy Gene Austin of Olton and Marshall Austin of of Safford, Ariz., and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
