Mrs. Frances Thorp of Haviland Dies

Haviland--Funeral services for Mrs. Frances E. Thorpe were held here Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Thorpe died Sunday in St. Vincent's hospital, Billings, Mont. She made her home in Billings with her daughter Gwendolyn the past four years.

Mrs Thorpe was born at Warrensburg, Mo., 70 years ago and came to Kansas in 1907. The family had lived in Haviland since that time. Mr Thorpe passed away in 1944.

In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Thorpe is survivrd by a son Dr. Francis A. Thorpe, and a grandson, Stephen Thorpe, of Pratt; three sisters and three brothers. She was a member of the Haviland Methodist church, the Rebekah Lodge and P.N.G. club. She attended state normal school at Warrensburg.
