Mrs. John W. Arendt died last evening about 7 o'clock at her home in Little York. She has been ill for the past few months and the end was not unexpected. She had been afflicted with cancer of the liver.

Sarah A. Miller was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Michael Miller and was born on November 14, 1846 in Gettysburg, PA. There she spent her girlhood days and was united in marriage to John W. Arendt in 1867. Thirty one years ago the couple came to Monmouth and here they resided for many years. They lived in Mercer county for a time and for the past year have made their home in Little York. Besides the wife, five children survive, three children having died; Ida Rockwell of Denny; Mrs. Mayme Charles Arendt of Monmouth; Mrs. Wales of Turton, SD.; Mrs. Cora Cubbage of Joy, IL. and Mrs. Della Piper of Cedar Creek. One sister and one brother are also living; Mrs. Lucy L. Stahl of Carolina, PA.; Isaac A. Miller of Baltimore, MD.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 10 o'clock at the Little York Methodist Church of which the deceased was a faithful member. The interment will be made ar Cedar Creek.
