Mrs. Lenorah Freeland, 89, 1610 Commercial street, died Friday night at the Atchison hospital She had been ill about six weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Sawin-Dyer chapel with the Rev. Keith Shrum, pastor of the Nortonville Christian church, officiating. Burial will be in the Effingham cemetery.
Robert Ham, Ralph Burge, Kenneth Bush, N.B. Repstine, Richard Ellis and Wilbert Conway will be pallbearers.
The family will be at the Sawin-Dyer mortuary from 7 to 8 tonight when friends may call.
Mrs. Freeland was born Sept. 27, 1883, near Arrington, a daughter of Oscar Heimbach, pioneer residents of that area.
She attended the Effingham schools and was graduated from Effingham High school. For several years she played the clarinet in the Wetmore town band and had played as a guest in the John Philip Sousa band.
On March 29, 1905, She and Benjamin F. Freeland were married at the Effingham Christian church. They made their home Effingham area seven years and then moved to Atchison.
After residing in Atchison three years, they returned to Effingham, and move back Atchison in 1923. Mr. Freeland died Sept. 21, 1958.
Mrs. Freeland was a member of the Christian church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Floy I. Landrum, Tulsa, Oklahoma.; a son, Charles F. Freeland, Kansas City, Mo.; five grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren and two foster grandchildren
