Son of Melchior Borger and Anna Christine Köster, both of Germany. Known to be the brother of Rebecca G. Borger and Margretha Borger, and possibly of Johann Borger, Gottfried Borger, and probably others. He was a grocer in New York City, having the store at 191 Prince Street in Manhattan. He, along with his wife and children also made their home at that same address.
