Marie Barrett, 93, of Lebanon, died at 9:25 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon.
She was born May 14, 1918 in Vermilion County, Illinois to the late William Jesse and Alice Florence Hale Saulmon.
She was formerly married to Carl Dallas Culley and then to Ed Smiley. She married Everett Raymond Barrett on July 18, 1954 in Indianapolis. He died Dec. 8, 1989.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, John C. Saulmon; 4 sisters, Lois Breedlove, Helen Golladay, Mattie Hood and Mary Ellen Girt and several grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Richard "Rick" Culley (wife: Joan) of Lafayette and Walter L. Culley of Fort Collins, Colorado; 3 stepdaughters, H. Rovene Woody (husband: Devon) of Frankfort, Helen Driscol of Lebanon and Lois I. O'Connor of Mount Holly, N.C.; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
