Marie Anna Weber Kempf left Alsace France with her parents at the age of 8 years. She joined the first Castro colony and arrived in Castroville November 1844. On Feb 23, 1854 she was married to Joseph Kempf in St. Louis Church, Castroville, at which place she resided until her death August 24, 1921 at the age of 86 years and six months.
