OBITUARY: ORVILLE A. WHITRIGHT
Orville Augustus Whitright, son of Mary and John Whitright, was born April 15, 1852, in Lorain County, Ohio, and departed from this life March 26, 1938, in Charlotte, at the advanced age of 85 years, 11 months and 11 days. He was one of thirteen children all having preceded him in death but two aged brothers, Ed and John of Hastings. In 1890 he was united in marriage to Eva Azeltine, who passed away in 1917, shortly after moving to Charlotte. To this union one son was born, Ford, with whom he had shared his home. During his entire life he was engaged in farming and well drilling, until moving to Charlotte, 21 years ago in 1917, on account of his wife's illness. He leaves to mourn their loss, his two aged brothers, his son Ford and wife and granddaughter, Lorraine, and a stepson Mark Azeltine, and a host of relatives and friends.

The funeral was held at the Myron E. Pray funeral home in Charlotte, Tuesday, March 29, at two o'clock in the afternoon. The Rev. Russell McConnell officiated and interment was made at Maple Hill cemetery, Charlotte.
