Gertrude Bailey
Gertrude Tingle Bailey, 86, of Shelbyville, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville.
She was born in Henry County and was a homemaker. She was a member of Burks Branch Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joda E. Bailey; her parents Roy Beckham and Sarah Elizabeth and brothers William Tingle and James Tingle.
She is survived by sons Roy T. Bailey, Douglas L. Bailey and Darrell W. Bailey all of Shelbyville; daughters Mary Jo Barbour of Shelbyville and Valendia Ott of La Grange; brothers Lawrence Gene Tingle of Shelbyville, Cecil Tingle of Eminence and Jodey Lee Tingle of Frankfort; sisters Frances Stamper and Nancy Reed both of Shelbyville and Lula Parrish and Margie Wilson both of Frankfort; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Monday at Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville with the Rev. Jesse Baxter officiating. Burial was in Shady Lawn Cemetery in Shelbyville.
