He & Emma had 2 daughters & 2 sons. He first worked for the railroad as a clerk, then a traveling salesman for Diamond Belt & Packing & New York Rubber Company. After Emma died in 1927, he moved to Carthage & married Emily Kitts Hall.
According to his grandson Frederic, he loved radios, Westerns and cars; he wore an elks-tooth necklace and chewed tobacco.
His obituary from the Watertown Times Standard gives his date of death as Sunday, Nov 25, 1928.
