The deceased, born in Todd Township, Huntingdon County, on October 3, 1889, had been residing with her daughter, Mrs. Kennard Foster, Silverford Heights, Mount Union, prior to entering the hospital. Mrs. Potts was the daughter of William and Mary Ann (Stumbaugh) Chilcoat and was united in marriage to Robert Bruce Potts of Orbisonia in May 1921 in Huntingdon. Her husband preceded her in death on November 13, 1957. She was a member of the Orbisonia EUB church. She also belonged to the Ladies Aid and the King's Daughters Class of the Sunday school. She is survived by the following children: Frances Paden, Irwin; Jean Foster, Mount Union; George Potts, Zelienople; Pauline Lang, Huntingdon; Duane Potts, US Army, Fort Churchhill Manitoba, Canada. Fifteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters survive: Monroe Chilcoat, Keyser, WV; Frank Chilcoat, Elmira, NY; Mrs. Minnie Querry, Huntingdon; Mrs. Edith Stapleton and Jess Chilcoat, Rockhill Furnace; and Joseph Chilcoat, New Alexandria. One sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Ott funeral home in Orbisonia. The Rev. William Goff and the Rev. Robert Callihan will officiate. Interment will be made in the Orbisonia IOOF cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.
