Don Jefferson Adams was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on June 27, 1935. He passed from this earth on July 3, 2004. Don graduated in 1953 from Putnam City High School, where he was involved in wrestling and was captain of the football team. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps amd honorably discharged in 1956. Don attended Central State University and graduated in 1961. He worked for the IRS and was corporate state supervisor at the Oklahoma Tax Commission until 2000, when he retired and went into private practice. Don's great loves were his family and his motorcycles. He loved following the activities of his many grandchildren in their various sports and other pursuits.
Don is survived by his daughter, Patty Thompson and husband Todd of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and their children Luke, Lance, Corby, Dylan and Carly; his son, Jeff Adams and wife Jana of Edmond and their children Zachary and Taylor; and dear friend Nancy Starr of Oklahoma City and her children and grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2004 at 10:00 a.m., at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Oklahoma City, followed by interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Mercer-Adams Funeral Directors.
