Clara L. Eck, 87, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, at Kindred Hospital – Indianapolis South.
She was born April 20, 1927, to Clifford Harper and Marjorie (Muir) Eck in Osgood. She married John E. Eck on Dec. 14, 1946, and he survives.
Other survivors include two sons: Larry Eck of Whiteland; and Gary Eck and wife, Monica, of Naples, Florida; six grandchildren, Melaina Jackson, Amber Brunner, John Eck, Erica Swanson, Johnathan Eck and Jessica Pinder; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Lynn, Lee and Lowell Harper.
Mrs. Eck was a homemaker.
She was a member of Bible Holiness Church for 40 years, where she was a Sunday school teacher.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at Bible Holiness Church, 2911 E. Michigan Rd., Shelbyville, IN 46176.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with Pastor Joseph Smith officiating.
Burial will be at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
Memorial contributions may be given to Bible Holiness Church.
