John E. "Swag" Baldwin, 88 of 6440 Fairfield Ave. Fort Wayne, died at 1:08 a.m. February 15, 2003 Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born May 7, 1914, in Leesburg, to Alvin Baldwin and Goldie (Rousey) Baldwin. He married Eugenia Banghart, who died in 1988.

He was a mechinist at Wayne Candy Co. for 13 years, retiring in 1981.

Surviving are two daughters, Vivian (Baldwin) Daler, Angola, and Sandra (Baldwin) Flotow, Fort Wayne; a sister, Joyce (Sanderson) Maine, Bremen, eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and two great great grand children. He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home Winchester Road Chapel, Fort Wayne, with Nancy Watta officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
