Robert E. Ambs age 73 of Jasper passed away at 6:10 P.M. Monday May 5, 2008 at Scenic Hills Nursing Center at Ferdinand. He was born November 1, 1934 at Dubois to: Edward and Florence (Kennedy) Ambs. He married Lucille Blessinger May 21, 1955 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper. She passed away July 27, 1997.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, K of C, Holy Name Society of Holy Family Catholic Church, and St. Vincent DePaul Society—past member of the Jasper Jaycees

He was a Supervisor at Design Institute of America for over 30 years-retired.
He was an avid sports fan for Jasper Wildcat Baseball and Jasper Reds Semipro Baseball.

Surviving: 2 daughters-Mrs. Nick (Christina) Enlow of Jasper, and Mrs. Flint (Cynthia) Franklin of Odon IN.
2 Grandchildren
2 sisters-Mrs. Marvin (Marie) Dugan of Corydon IN., and Anna Arnold of Lincoln Nebraska.

Preceded in death besides his wife is 1 brother-William Ambs

Visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday May 9, 2008 at Holy Family Catholic church in Jasper with entombment to follow at Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper.
