Phillip was the son of David Richard"Dick" Tackett and May Jane Corban Tackett. He had three brothers,one sister and one half sister: John W., Sarah C. James,Henry C. and half sister Olie. His father married Elmira Wortham after his mother died. His father is buried at the Higden - McLehaney cemetery in cleburne Co. Arkansas. Have been unable to find where his mother is buried.
Phillip married Sarah Melissa Bailey June 28,1892 in Van buren co.,Ark, They had five children. Earnest L.,Henry, Bertha, Edward P and Willis Otis. I believe they also had a son who lived from 1897 - 1898 and a baby that was born and died in 1913. These children are buried at the Colony Cemetery in Van Buren Co. Ark.
