ALBRECHT, Laurene (nee Schultz) Of Drayton and formerly of Palmerston, passed away suddenly at the Royal Terrace, Palmerston on Thursday, June 23, 2011, in her 89th year. Laurene was the last surviving member of the Noah and Annie (Nafziger) Schultz family. Beloved wife of the late Emanuel (Jake) Albrecht (2003). Loving mother of Ruth Ann and Duane Wharram of Palmerston, Kenneth and Gwen Albrecht of New Hamburg, Leonard and Lynette Albrecht of R.R.#2, Moorefield, Laurie Yungblut and Graham Jackson of R.R.#2, Palmerston, Janet and Robert Richmond of R.R.#1 New Dundee and Mary Lou and Elgin Shantz of Kitchener. Predeceased by one son Donald (Reb) Albrecht (1989) and his wife Jean (2000) and son-in-law Ronald Yungblut (2003). Fondly remembered by 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Jean Schultz, Harry and Lucille Albrecht, George and Edith Albrecht, Ervin and Marjorie Albrecht, Eileen and Gord Woolner, Robert Shantz, and Elenore Albrecht. Predeceased by six sisters, Sarah and Sam Jutzi, Lena Schultz, Katherine (Kate) and Allan Schultz, Mary Lichti, Emma and Lorne Albrecht, and Elizabeth and Elvy Bast six brothers Sam and Beatrice, David, Chris and Renee, John and Willa, Nelson and Ruth and William (Bill) Schultz, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Selina and Enos Boshart, Clara and Alvin Schlegel, Vera and Carl Siemon, Lena Shantz and Armand Albrecht. The family will receive friends at the Community Mennonite Fellowship Church, 109 Wellington Street, Drayton on Saturday, June 25, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where Pastor David Tiessen will conduct the Funeral Service in the Community Mennonite Church, Drayton on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 3 p.m. Followed by Cremation and private family interment in Palmerston Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the March of Dimes or the Community Mennonite Church would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home, Drayton.
