This is the ancestor of the Borden, Indiana family, the head of Family VIII. At the Second Gathering of the Clan MacKinlay at Detroit, Michigan, U. S. A. September 10, 1894 his given name was not listed. Later it was discovered to be James. His birthplace still remains unknown although it is listed as Pennsylvania on his marriage papers.
