Kingsport - Effie Margaret Adams Rowland, 69, Kingsport, went peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday Jan., 30, 2007 at her residence.

She was born in Surgoinsville, Tenn. on March 17, 1937, the daughter of the late Joseph and Martha Elizabeth Blazer Adams.

She worked at Indian Path Hospital in the cafeteria until she retired due to ill health. Her great pleasure was working for Jesus and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Margaret would like everyone to meet her at your new address in Heaven.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Rowland; and three brothers, Jessie, James and Joseph Clay Adams.

She is survived by a daughter, Terry Lisa Rowland, Kingsport; son, Eric Rowland and wife Teresa, Kingsport; three grandchildren, Miranda Hartgrove and husband Jason, Travis Bishop, and Chase Hart; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Luke Hartgrove; and many good friends and neighbors.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday Feb. 1, 2007 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home, with Pastor Ronnie Trent and Pastor Robert Fletcher officiating.

Music will be provided by Mountain View Baptist Church Choir.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday Feb. 2, 2007 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Kingsport.

Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport, is serving the Rowland family.
