The Tomb.
Baldwin - At his home in Crothersville, Friday, May 14, 1886, of consumption, Lewis Baldwin, aged thirty-five years. Deceased was appointed postmaster at Crothersville, a short time ago, by President Cleveland, to fill the vacancy occasioned by the suicide of W.M. Owen, the former incumbent. He leaves a wife and two children.

Deaths.
James L. Baldwin, formerly of this place, died of consumption at his residence in Crothersville on Friday morning of last week. His remains were interred at the Moon grave-yard, Finley township, Saturday, by the Knights of Honor, of which he was a member. His life insured for $2,000.

Scottsburg, May 16 - James L. Baldwin, Postmaster at Crothersville, died of consumption and was buried here yesterday by the Knights of Honor. His insurance policy in the order amounts to $2,000.

Crothersville.
The remains of Lewis Baldwin were interred last Saturday in Scott county. Deceased leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss. He exhibited a trait of true manhood by taking forethought for their welfare in insuring his life. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias.

The funeral of the late James L. Baldwin will be preached at the M E church in this place next Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. All are invited.
