Before retirement, he was a bartender at the family-owned Seymours Inn Restaurant, Jensen Beach.
He served with the Coast Guard in World War II.
He was a member of the Elks, Stuart, and the American Legion, Jensen Beach.
He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Gideon.
Survivors include his twin brother, Lawrence Gideon of Jensen Beach; another brother, [Robert] Blount Gideon and wife Betty Lou of Vero Beach; and a sister, Joyce Schultz and husband Louis of Jensen Beach.
A service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 17, at Aycock Funeral Home, Jensen Beach. The Rev. Les A. Koerselman will officiate.
Inurnment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Jensen Beach.
