Funeral services celebrating the life of Lois Phillips, 87, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2011 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many, LA. Officiating will be Bro. Daniel Davis. Interment will follow in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Lois was born on June 23, 1923 in Sabine Parish, LA to Henry and Elvie Hippler. She passed away on June 22, 2011 in Shreveport. She was a homemaker and a member of Pendleton Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carvy Phillips; son, Eugene Phillips; brothers, Harvey, Allen, Cecil, Bud, and Alfred Hippler; sister, Elizabeth Hippler Rogers. She is survived by daughters, Margie Phillips Glover and husband, David, and Janie Robinson Phillips; grandchildren, Darryl and Ronnie Phillips, Mylette Phillips Malone, Tonya Phillips Harry, Tamara Glover Hicks and Michael Glover; brother, Clyde Hippler and wife, Catherine.
