History: The LeVan family originated in France where one branch became identified with the Huguenots. Four sons of Daniel & Maria (Beau) LeVan left their native land to find a home in America. One of them died before arriving in America. The other three settled in Berks County: Abraham in Oley, Isaac in Exeter and Jacob in Maxatawny. (PCC, p. 66 +) Original sandstone marker for Abraham LeVan was moved to Historical Society of Berks County and replaced with modern granite stone.

Observations: Indicate approximately 30 graves, 8 of which are outside the stone wall. The graves inside are in rows that run on a diagonal. Site was surrounded by deteriorating stone wall and unique very rusted metal cap. Tombstones were reset, wall redone and cap removed and replaced with a stone surface. (BCAGP) This was financed with initiative funds in 1995.
