The Body Will Be Brought Here
The following telegram was yesterday received by Stephen Krise, 1123 Ninth avenue this city;
Dayton, O., September 16-To Stephen Krise, 1123 Ninth avenue, Altoona, Pa:-Asa killed this morning. Will start with remains at 9 a.m. Saturday for Altoona.
Lew
This telegram was from Lewis Krise, a brother of Asa. Beyond this there are no particulars of the manner in which the young man came to his death, but as he was a railroader it is natural to suppose he was killed while in the discharge of his duty.
The deceased was between 19 and 20 years of age and was employed as a brakeman on one of the roads centering in Dayton. He had formerly been employed in the Altoona yards in the same capacity, and several months ago went west to follow his occupation.
He leaves a father (his mother being dead); two brothers, Lewis, of Dayton, o., and Andrew, of this city; and three sisters-Frances, Annie and Stella, the latter all residing in Altoona. There have yet been no arrangements made regarding the funeral.

How Asa Krise Was Killed
Particulars of the Accident Whereby He Lost His Life
Mention of the accidental death of Asa Krise was made in the Tribune of Saturday, but no particulars were given, none then being then obtainable. The facts in the case are these; Asa Krise was employed as a brakeman on the Cincinnatie, Dayton and Indianapolis railroad. He was switching two cars on a side track at Jamestown, Ohio, and while engaged in pulling a pin his right foot caught in frog and held him fast. In this position he was helpless and one car and the tank of the engine passed over him, crushing his life out in a trice. The accident happened 8:15 o'clock Friday morning. The body was taken to Dayton, Ohio, and prepared for burial. Lewis Krise, a brother of the unfortunate young man, is also a brakeman and was at Wellston, Ohio, seventy eight miles east of where the accident occurred at the time. He accompanied the remains to Altoon, arriving on fast line Saturday night.
Asa Krise was born September 30, 1872, and had been railroading for some time, part of the time in the Altoona yard and for the past few months on the road where he met a sudden death.
He leaves a father (his mother being dead); two brothers, Lewis, of Dayton, O., and Andrew, of this city; and three sisters-Frances, Annie and Stella, the latter all residing in Altoona.
The funeral took place yesterday afternoon, the services being held in St. Mark's church at 5 o'clock. Later the body was interred in St. John's cemetery.
