"Melva L. Laudenbach, 92, of Moore Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born: in Moore Township on July 01, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Beulah Beers Andrews.
Personal: A member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, Melva worked in as a machine operator for more than 40 years at various mills in the area before retiring from Valerie Fashions in 1990. She enjoyed crocheting and word puzzles.
Memberships: She was a member of the Clearfield Bible Holiness Church formerly known as the Clearfield Interdenominational Church, Wind Gap.
Survivors: her loving family, sons, Larry Laudenbach and his wife, Nellie with whom she resided, and Randy Laudenbach and his wife, Florence of Slatington; daughters, Frances Nonnemaker of Whitehall and Jane Shaffer and her husband, Philip of Gratz, PA; three grandchildren, Karen Andreadis, Sharon Chromiak and Todd Shaffer; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Isabelle Shook of Wind Gap, along with many nieces and nephews. Melva was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Brian Haffling.
Services: will be held on Saturday, May 07, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the Clearfied Bible Holiness Church, 1502 Bushkill Center Road, (Bushkill Center) Wind Gap, PA 18091. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. in the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, Village of Moorestown-Bath, PA 18014 and Saturday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church. Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Bushkill Center. Memorials: may be made in memory of Melva to the Clearfield Bible Holiness Church."
