Long time Fort Myers resident Eddie Hart, 82, died of natural causes on June 21, 2011. He graduated form Fort Myers High School Class of 47 and served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He was married to the love of his life Laurie Buffington Hart for 51 years until her death in 2008.

Eddie retired from Lee County D.O.T. with over 30 years of service. He was a past Master of Tropical Lodge#56. He enjoyed fishing and going for crabs, clams or oysters.

He is pre-deceased by wife Laurie, sisters Helen and Bessie and brother-in-law James Buffington. Eddie is survived by daughter Susan Hollingsworth, son Stephen Hart, grandsons Robbie Hollingsworth and Ryan Hart, sister-in-law Shirley Buffington, nieces, nephews and his beloved dog, Daisy.

At his request there will be no services. The family suggests memorial contributions to Tropical Lodge #56, building fund, 3100 Evans Ave., Fort Myers, FL 33901.
