Born on Molokai, he is survived by wife Violet Kamano; daughters Ivy Nuuhiwa, Gwen Keuma, Kapiolani Nolan, Karen Luberts, Violet A. Kamano and Terry Buchli; sons James, Joseph Jr. and Leroy; sister Peachy Lenchanko; 37 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter. Services: 7 p.m. Sunday at Diamond Head Mortuary. Call from 5 to 9 p.m. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at the mortuary. Call after 9 a.m. Burial: Diamond Head Memorial Park.
