Lila Nell Burchfield (1926-2011)
DENTON - Lila Nell Hudson Burchfield, of Denton and formerly of Bonham and Garland, was born July 14, 1926 at Three P, Texas to Minor Edwin Hudson and Sallie Mae Smith Hudson. She married C. B. Burchfield on October 19, 1943 at Durant, Okla. God called her to His heavenly home on Saturday, June 18, 2011 in Denton at the age of 84.
She is survived by daughter, Becky Pickle and husband Joe of Denton; daughter, Bonnie Reed and husband Gary of Sherman Oaks, California; grandchildren, Nathan Pickle and wife Sara of Dallas; and Neal Pickle of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Caroline and Luke Pickle of Dallas. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 65 years, C.B.
The family will receive friends during a visitation 10:30 a.m. until service time. Funeral Services will be held 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Dr. Jeff Williams of First Baptist Church of Denton. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright.
