Private and Chaplain in Dawson's 19th Arkansas. Lived in Little River County in 1850. Lewis W. Davis, whose son Jeff would later serve as Arkansas governor and U.S. Senator, preached at Richmond Baptist Church. In 1862, L. W. Davis lived near Rocky Comfort(Foreman), Ar. Lewis W. Davis, a Baptist preacher, lawyer, and county judge in Little River County, Ar. Moved to Pope County about 1869.
