Obituary in The Bienville Democrat December 30, 1926:
Mr. J.B. Sutton, who lived on the Gibsland road about two miles from Arcadia, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H.D. Robertson in Camden Ark., and was buried here Thursday morning last. He had been taken to Camden by Mr. & Mrs. Robertson for treatment in a recent illness, but became worse after going there. His other two daughters, Mrs. J.G. Broussard of Abbeville and Mrs. T.L. Stonts of Megargal Texas could not be present at the funeral, which was conducted at the home of Mr. & Mrs. B.A. Brewer by Rev. C.C. Young. Mr. Sutton's wife died several years ago and since that time by his own choice had lived much alone at his store. After he was a mature man, he joined the Baptist Church at Alabama, and was a member there at the time of his demise.
