Wanda Mae Sparks, age 78, of St. Louis, Missouri formerly of Brookfield, MIissouri, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at her home in St. Louis, Missouri.

Wanda was born as Wanda Mae Watts at Brookfield, Missouri on March 11, 1932 to William Woodrow and Virginia (Shoemaker) Watts.

She married Elvin Wayne Sparks on December 18, 1949 at Brunswick, Miissouri and he preceded her in death in 1999.

Wanda was a school bus driver at Fort Osage School District in Independence, Missouri. She attended Grace Church in St. Louis, Missouri and was a St. Louis, Missouri resident since April, 2010.

She is survived by one son, Terry Sparks and wife Janie, Marceline; daughter Cindy Kniffen and husband Jason; brother James Watts; thirteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elvin Wayne Sparks, and daughter Brenda Wynn. Graveside services will be held Monday, December 6, 2010 at 1:30 pm at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Brookfield, Miissouri with Rev. Richard Birdsong officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, December 6, 2010 from noon until 1:15 pm at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Sparks, Chris Esry, Chad Esry, Herman Esry, Jason Anderson, and Ottis McGinnes. Memorials may be made to the Sparks family and these may be left at or mailed to Delaney
