Henry R. Butler, 95, of Topeka, Kansas, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Henry was born Feb. 24, 1916, in Schuyler County, Missouri, to Walter Thomas "Tom" and Alwidla Bell "Allie Harmon Butler.

Henry married Pauline Walters on Aug. 27, 1939, and they had three sons. She preceded him in death on May 27, 1971. He later married Venice Owens on Aug. 30, 1972. She preceded him in death on Sept. 17, 2001.

Henry lived in Gering, Nebraska and Casper, Wyoming. He worked at Pacific Fruit and Produce Company until retiring in 1978. After retirement, he moved to Palisade, Nebraska and then to Topeka, Kansas.

Henry was preceded in death by both wives; his parents; brothers, George, Merle, Walter Jr. and Perley Butler; sisters, Gertie Hill, Mary Hamilton, Neita Magorian, Wilma Sitzman; and step-brothers, Charles, Harry and James Butler.

Survivors are: sons, Ronald and wife, Carol Butler of Topeka, Thomas and wife, Jane Butler of Casper and James and wife, Kim Butler of Chamberlain, South Dakota; three step-daughters, Carol and husband, Ron Butler of Topeka, Patty and husband, Dean Eikenberry of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Linda and husband Claud Trosclair of Warr Acres, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Burial was in The Culbertson Cemetery, Culbertson, NE.
