Ruby Easter Lorene Toney Chumley, 89, of Bogata, died Sunday, April 23, 2006, at Titus Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at Bogota First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Randy Lemme and the Rev. Dale Halyard officiating. Interment follows in Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was born April 8, 1917, in Red River County, a daughter of Ed and Willie Argo Toney. She was a homemaker all her life and a caretaker of others. She loved gospel music and was a member of Bogata First Assembly of God. She was a loving friend to all and will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Chumley; three sisters; and three brothers.

She is survived by her daughter Sadie Halyard and husband, Dale, of Bogata; granddaughter, Lorrie Lemme and husband, Randy, of Bogata; great-grandchildren, Courtney and Haley Lemme of Bogata; sister, Evelyn Smith of Detroit.
