FUNERAL CONDUCTED
FOR RUEL W. PARTEE
Ruel Wilmoth Partee, 68, 603 Cleveland Ave., died at 4:15 a.m. Wednesday in a local hospital following a stroke suffered a week ago.
Born April 2, 1885, in Rutledge, he was the son of the late William H. and Margaret Anna Lane Partee. He had been a resident of Floyd County for the past 50 years and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. At the time of his death, he was a carpenter-contractor.
One brother, T.A. Partee, preceded him in death in 1941.
Survivors include the widow, the former Miss Pearl Conn to whom he was married Nov. 25, 1914; five daughters, Mrs. J.E. Smith and Mrs. John Jackson, Rome; Mrs. Harold Cox, Shannon; Mrs. Gilbert Litton, Niagara Falls, N.Y.; and Mrs. H.L. Harrison, Augusta; three sisters, Mrs. A.H. Horne and Mrs. E.W. Cook of Rome, and Mrs. Mack Starling, Round Mountain, Ala. Eleven grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Rev. W.F. Conn and the Rev. W.O Denson officiating. Interment was in the Myrtle Hill Cemetery (error-actually buried in Eastview Cemetery).

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Jennings Funeral home for Ruel Wilmoth Partee, 68, 603 Cleveland Ave., who died at 4:15 a.m. Wednesday in a local hospital. The Rev. W.F. Conn and the Rev. W.O. Denson officiated and interment was in the Myrtle Hill Cemetery (error-actually buried in Eastview Cemetery).
