Mrs. Hartis was born in Langdale, Ala., Jan. 29, 1888, daughter of the late W.A.J. Bailey and Mary Hancock Bailey. She had been a resident of Rome and Floyd County most of her life, and was a member of the Baptist Church in Langdale.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Luther Reeves, Mrs. Louise VanHorn and Mrs. L. D. Waits, all of Rome; 24 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Jennings Heritage Chapel with Parnick Jennings Sr. officiating. Interment will be in East View Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
